The correct levels of PH, Alkalinity and Calcium Hardness are required to maintain a healthy pool.

Incorrect pH balance can cause problems such as skin and eye irritation, the corrosion of pool fittings and reduced efficiency of chlorine.

A high reading of total alkalinity can result in cloudy water or scale on the pool surface, whereas a low reading can make it difficult to control the pH.

The hardness of water can vary enormously. If the water is too soft, it can damage mechanical equipment. If it is too hard, and the pH is not balanced, unsightly calcium deposits may form on the pool walls and surrounds.
